After I accidentally ran over my daughter, she cried for Jesus. She didn’t want me or her dad. She wanted the peace and comfort of our Lord and Savior!
Help.
Me.
Lord.
These are the 3 words that my 7-year-old daughter hollered out. While she was laying in our drive waiting for the ambulance to arrive she cried to Jesus! After being run over she cried out, “HELP ME, LORD!” She kept repeating it while we waited for the EMTs.
“Help me, Lord!”
The other day, I asked her what made her say that specifically. “Why those words?”
She looked at me like I was crazy. (Even more so than normal!) Like, what else was I supposed to say, Mom? She told me that she "always says that when she’s scared!"
“At night if it’s dark and I get nervous, I say it!”
“If I’m scared and I don’t think I can make it to Mama, I say it!”
“I know Jesus will help me!”
(PRAISE GOD!)
She melts my heart. She has such a beautiful soul.
I love her purely innocent spirit.
“HELP ME, LORD!”
A simply beautiful testimony.
In my distress, I called to the Lord and he answered me.... Jonah 2:2
Such a simple reminder of how to surrender to God! How easy it is (should be) to lean on His Strength! As adults, we overcomplicate our prayers at times. (At least I do.) I say so much when “Help me Lord” is all I need. I want to say all the things and more ...
God,
Please help my daughter.
She needs you, Jesus. Please heal her.
Please. We need a miracle!
We know You are capable! We believe you can heal her. Help her to fully recover! Please don’t allow her to suffer. We want her to be fully mended. - Amen
God knows my heart and He doesn’t need me to beg. Especially in stressful times such as this.. a simple “HELP” would suffice.
God cannot be manipulated.
"HELP HER, LORD!" -Amen.
Sometimes I pray, “COME JESUS” or “THE BLOOD OF JESUS” In stressful times these simple prayers change my focus and bring me closer to HIM!
My girl's favorite musician is Zach Williams. We’ve been trying to see him in concert since Covid shut the world down. We now have tickets to see him in a couple of months. We are praying to be able to take her to see him. (As long as she can get there in her wheelchair!) 🦽
I’m keeping this one of his songs on repeat:
“Heaven Help Me”

“Help Me, Lord!”
I’m thankful for this sermon from my little girl.
But Jesus called the children to Him and said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Luke 18:16
I am learning so much from our current situation.
I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. But I’m grateful to be going through it with the confidence of Christ. I can’t imagine facing this without His Truth & Grace!
He gives me hope.
He gives me strength.
He give me peace.
COME JESUS. 🙏🏼
“The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. Psalms 23
There is always something to be grateful for! ❤️
Today I am Praising God that my kids know Him.
I can’t. He can. Let HIM!
“Help me, Lord!”
Surrender to win.
